Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. seeks a Lead Commercial Installer in California to manage installation, startup, and closeout of projects, mentoring apprentices and coordinating with Project Managers. You will install wiring, test systems, and ensure work stays on budget across multiple crews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in electronics with AC/DC theory daily.
• Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Wire and troubleshoot relay logic.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs and pulls wire as per specifications.
• Installs and wires equipment used in systems.
• Tests equipment after termination to ensure performance.
• Follow safety manual and ensure self/others safety.
• Complete paperwork on time (redlines, vehicle log, time cards).
• Maintain install van and van stock, keep organized.
• Daily communications with Project Manager on delays and status.
• Keep daily logbook with customer requests and tasks.
• Enter timebills accurately in Q360.
• Train apprentices on procedures and installation techniques.
• Ensure work stays within phase estimates.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers on startup.
• Oversee installation of multiple crews and closeouts.
• Turnover jobs to client and service department.
• Additional duties as assigned.
