Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Senior Autonomy Validation Engineer to lead validation across L8 HIL, simulation, and field collaboration for the Command for Hauling program. You will develop validation scenarios, analyze machine data, and drive release readiness.

The role requires strong ownership, experience with MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE SCALEXIO, CAN/J1939, and cross-functional communication with SI/V leads, development teams, and field-support partners.

Qualifications

• Validation plans, regression tests, and scenario-based testing.
• Experience with traceability and release evidence in complex validation environments.
• Knowledge of V-model and agile or iterative testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Validate CfH autonomous workflows using L8 HIL benches and simulation environments.
• Develop and maintain validation scenarios, test cases, and evidence packages.
• Analyze machine data and logs to understand behavior and support root-cause investigation.
• Improve validation coverage and provide feedback to development teams.
• Develop MATLAB/Simulink real-time models for dynamics and sensing.
