Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Northlake, IL is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a team to improve customer care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include explaining repairs to non-technical customers, staying current with automotive tech through paid training, and pursuing ASE certifications. Competitive hourly pay range and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license required.
• Experience with brakes/hydraulics or steering & suspension.
• Skilled in auto maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal/state/local certifications where applicable.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail.
