Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a small team toward higher customer satisfaction.

You will perform brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, A/C and computer systems diagnostics, explain repairs to customers, and pursue ASE certifications with company support. Flat-rate pay and a performance-based model reward expertise.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience with brakes, hydraulics, steering and suspension.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes/hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment.
