Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician in Palatine, IL. The role focuses on diagnosing drivability and electrical systems while leading a team toward excellent customer care.

Flat-rate pay complements a performance-based compensation model. Candidates should have strong brake/hydraulics and suspension skills, with ASE certifications or the drive to attain them within two years.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within first two years; company covers tests/fees.
