Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension & alignments.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years (company pays tests).
