Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Technician in Austin, TX. You will diagnose vehicles based on your certifications and complete multi-point inspections and repairs with accuracy.

You will explain diagnoses and required repairs to customers, managers, or service advisors, aiming to keep customers' vehicles safe and reliable. We offer strong pay, Sundays off, and benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Valid automotive technician credentials required.
• ASE certifications acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Ability to operate computerized diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and minimum age 18.
• State Inspector License within 30 days where required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certification level.
• Performs repairs as outlined on inspection/repair orders with accuracy.
• Explains findings and recommended services to customers or managers.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends (but Sundays not required).
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and policies.
