Job summary
General Service Center of Laurel, powered by Easterns Automotive Group, is actively seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join our high-volume service center in Laurel, MD. You will perform routine maintenance, brake and tire service, diagnostics, repairs, and road tests to ensure vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.
Our shop is equipped with modern tools, offers ongoing training, and provides opportunities for career growth within the DMV network.
Qualifications
- Prior automotive technician experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, rotate tires, and top-off fluids.
- Conduct brake, tire, and safety inspections; document results using electronic/video MPI systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform minor and major repairs.
- Road-test vehicles to confirm service quality and verify repairs.
- Replace components such as brakes, batteries, belts, lights and other wear items.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
- Complete repair orders and service documentation accurately and legibly.
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
