Job summary

The General Service Center of Laurel, powered by Easterns Automotive Group, is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our high-volume service center in Laurel. You will perform routine maintenance, brake and tire service, diagnostics, repairs, and road testing to ensure vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive technician experience is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, rotate tires, and top-off fluids.
• Conduct brake, tire, and safety inspections; document results using electronic/video MPI systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform both minor and major repairs.
• Road-test vehicles to confirm service quality and verify repairs.
• Replace components such as brakes, batteries, belts, lights, and other wear items.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures.
• Complete repair orders and service documentation accurately and legibly.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
