Job summary

McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, test, and repair complex vehicle issues, perform multi-point inspections, and work to Acura manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Journeyman-level repair experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Able to diagnose and complete complex repairs independently.
Proficiency with factory diagnostic equipment and service information.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, test, and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, drivability, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate recommendations to service advisors.
Perform repairs according to Acura standards and safety procedures.
Document work and maintain an organized work environment.
Mentor apprentices and collaborate with advisors, parts staff, and technicians.
