Job summary

Provost Customs in Woodland, CA is seeking a Master Automotive Technician to join our team and tackle diagnostics, repairs, and custom projects. The role starts at $35 per hour with a potential for higher rates based on experience and qualifications.

You will work on a diverse mix of vehicles, from domestics to European and classic models, in a supportive, high‑quality shop environment. Expect a fast-paced, collaborative culture focused on craftsmanship and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive shop experience.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience across a variety of vehicle makes, models, and systems.
• Ability to handle complex repairs as well as general maintenance.
• Basic personal hand tools required.
• Dependable work habits and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to continue learning and developing automotive skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and automotive system issues across a variety of vehicles.
• Perform general automotive repair and maintenance to quality standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment, including a Snap-on MODIS scan tool, to identify concerns.
• Work on domestics, Asian, European, classic, and specialty vehicles.
• Contribute to restoration, rebuilds, and unique custom projects.
• Complete mechanical work as part of larger custom builds with multiple shop specialties.
• Collaborate with the General Manager, Shop Foreman, and other specialists to move projects forward.
