Job summary

Lamb's Tire & Automotive is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to MAP and manufacturer standards. You will leverage your advanced diagnostics skills to deliver accurate repairs while maintaining high-quality workmanship in a busy Central Texas shop.

Excellent pay, with a flag-rate of $30.00–$45.00 per hour, dependent on experience and certifications, plus robust benefits including paid time off and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license within 30 days of hire date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including the Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
• Recommends services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle running; documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Adheres to Sun Auto's core values and company policies and procedures.
