Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to contribute to next-generation vehicle tech. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site collaboration to design, model, and implement complex automotive systems from concept to validation.

You will define architectures, run system simulations, develop test plans, and work across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration and performance in line with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering with proven design/integration track record.
  • Proficiency with system modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, AMESim).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex automotive systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical).
  • Perform system-level simulations, modeling, and analysis to validate performance.
  • Develop and execute test plans for component and system validation, both in simulation and on prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) for cohesive system development.
  • Document system designs, specs, and test results per industry standards.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation vehicle technologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex automotive systems, including powertrain, chassis, and electrical architectures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, AMESim).
  • Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
