Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent.
• Two years dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
• ASE certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Virginia State Inspection License or willingness to obtain license.
• Broad automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Unrestricted driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
• Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
• Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards; supports inventory stocking and general duties.
• Follows all shop policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Attends staff meetings, trainings, and required classes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
