Job summary

Southern Nissan Chesapeake in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician. The role requires at least 2 years of dealer-level or large facility experience, and a high school diploma or GED with post-secondary automotive training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience.
Two years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
ASE certification (or willing to obtain).
Virginia State Inspection License (or willing to obtain).
Unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
Supports shop operations and safety standards to keep a smooth workflow.
Attends staff meetings, training, and classes as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
