Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks an Automotive Performance Senior Software Engineer in Santa Clara to optimize system software for automotive platforms using Safe RTOS. You will collaborate across Hardware Architecture, DriveOS, Power, and Test teams to ensure benchmarks meet targets and contribute to profiling tools with AI support.

The role requires a Master’s in CS/Engineering, 5+ years in systems/software performance, and strong C/C++ with Linux/QNX.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
5+ years of proven experience in systems or software performance.
Strong C/C++ programming abilities in automotive context.
Proficiency in Linux and QNX; Android knowledge is a plus.
Solid understanding of benchmarking, boot-time optimization, and runtime performance.
Experience with hypervisors, virtualization, and overhead analysis.
AI/ML experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Optimize system software for NVIDIA automotive performance platforms with Safe RTOS.
Collaborate with Hardware Architecture, DriveOS, Power, and Test teams on benchmarks.
Ensure targets by supervising micro benchmarks and IP-level benchmarks.
Develop features in automotive profiling tools with AI assistance.
Benchmark the hypervisor to minimize ARM overhead.
Work with ADAS/AV teams to optimize the next-gen NVIDIA Tegra stack.
