Job summary

Roush is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Senior to modify vehicles in a prototype environment and mentor the team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in mechanical assembly, shop equipment operation, and can read and execute service procedures.

Location is Whittmann, AZ, with a focus on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to meet Roush and customer standards. Strong teamwork and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.
• Has own tools with rolling toolbox.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
• Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.
