Job summary

Roush is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Senior to modify vehicles in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. You will mentor teammates and ensure Roush and customer standards are met.

The role requires a high school diploma, 8+ years of mechanic experience, and the ability to read procedures. A certificate in Automotive Technology or state certifications are a plus; own tools and willingness to overtime and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team and mentor others.
• Own tools with rolling toolbox and availability for overtime and weekends.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by following repair orders and leader instructions.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts.
• Read, interpret and follow service procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members as SME for the team and customer.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions and troubleshooting.
• Lead daily shop organization and cleanup.
