Job summary

Roush is seeking an Automotive Mechanic II for our prototype division in Romeo, MI, on the night shift. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced environment and work closely with customers and team members.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years' automotive experience, a high school diploma, and own tools. Overtime and weekend work may be required; ASE or related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' automotive mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly and shop equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Own tools with rolling toolbox; available for overtime/weekends.
• Able to read and follow written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle condition by following repair orders and inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions and replace parts.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Maintain vehicle records with notes and orders.
• Keep shop equipment running; perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with daily shop organization and cleanup.
