Ideal candidate has 15–20 years of bumper design experience, deep OEM development knowledge, and strong leadership for cross‑functional projects. The position focuses on cost optimization, styling feasibility, and seamless global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15 to 20 years of experience in Automotive Bumper Design.
• Strong expertise in CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.
• Deep understanding of automotive product development and OEM design processes.
• Experience managing design activities across global engineering teams.
• Ability to act as the primary technical contact between OEM and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts based on OEM direction and requirements.
• Perform CAD design using CATIA V5/V6.
• Create and maintain package layouts and drawings.
• Conduct 3D modeling and design validation activities.
• Coordinate with onsite, nearshore, and offshore teams to ensure project execution.
• Support cost estimation and supplier evaluations.
• Participate in evaluations like Gap & Flush Analysis and IQS Reviews.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Bumper Design Engineer to support OEM vehicle development programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bumper system design, strong expertise in CATIA V5/V6, and a thorough understanding of OEM development processes, styling feasibility, cost optimization, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts based on OEM project direction and requirements.
• Perform CAD design activities using CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.
• Create and maintain package layouts and engineering drawings.
• Conduct 3D modeling and design validation activities.
• Drive open item evaluation, tracking, and closure.
• Perform styling feasibility studies in collaboration with studio teams.
• Create drawings and release documentation according to OEM standards.
• Support document preparation and engineering change activities.
• Analyze supplier quotations and support cost estimation activities.
• Participate in evaluations and create responses for:
• Gap & Flush Analysis
• IQS Reviews
• Wiring & Piping Integration
• Other vehicle integration assessments
• Coordinate with onsite, nearshore, and offshore engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15 to 20 years of experience in Automotive Bumper Design.
• Strong expertise in CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.
• Deep understanding of automotive product development and OEM design processes.
