Senior Automations Engineer

Shift4 is expanding globally and hiring a key Automations Engineer / Automation Developer.

This is an onsite role that can be based at any of the following Shift4 locations: Las Vegas, NV / Center Valley, PA / Tampa, FL / Morrisville, NC / Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize tactically scalable software solutions to increase transparency of business processes, improve data homogeneity, and reduce time spent on manual tasks across Shift4.
• Abstract problem solving: each project will be unique with its own challenges; daily work will vary.
• Development: with guidance, develop modernized solutions for various business-related projects within a team; tasks include UI/UX development and database management/modeling.
• Deployment and acceptance: deploy solutions, train business teams, and translate technical information for non-technical users.
• Trusted advisor and advocate: seek out new projects, advocate for the team, and prioritize work based on organizational benefit.
• Character: embody Shift4 culture and values; work effectively within a team.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Automations Engineering involving technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, or related domain.
• 1+ years of database experience (MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• 1+ years of ownership of projects and leading them to successful completion with cross-team collaboration.
• 1+ years of developing with a No-Code/Low-Code platform (Decisions, Unqork, PowerApps, Bizagi, Salesforce Flow, etc.).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs (academic or professional experience).

Additional/Preferred Qualifications

• Python, C#, C++, or other coding experience.
• Technical training or professional certification in related domains (e.g., Udemy courses or similar).
