Job summary

Sonepar USA Inc in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Automation Application Engineer-OEM to act as the technical authority for automation solutions. You will partner with Sales Specialists and Account Managers to deliver technically sound, scalable applications across presales and postsales cycles.

Responsibilities include designing architectures with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motion control, and industrial networks, consulting with End Users and OEMs, coordinating with partners, and delivering training to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or related field.
5-10 years in industrial automation application engineering or presales.
Hands-on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motion control, industrial safety, and protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
Familiarity with major automation platforms (Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens).

Responsibilities

Technical Pre Sales & Solution Support: develop system architectures and validate applications.
Solution Design & Application Engineering: design automation solutions with PLCs, HMIs, and networking.
Customer Consultation & Technical Support: advise End Users and OEMs, support troubleshooting and escalations.
Project & Partner Coordination: align customer requirements with delivered solutions with partners.
Training & Enablement: deliver technical training and product demonstrations.
Technical & Market Awareness: stay current on automation technologies and trends.
