Voyager Technologies is seeking a Principal Automation Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software for laboratory automation and robotics in a defense context. Based onsite in Penrose, CO, you will guide architecture, data infrastructure, and cross‑functional collaboration with Manufacturing and Safety teams.

The role requires 7+ years of progressive experience, strong programming skills (C#, Python, C/C++, SQL), and the ability to manage software

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automation software engineering or a related technical leadership role.
• Proven ability to architect scalable software systems with hardware, databases, and real‑time data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture for multi-phase automation programs from design to deployment.
• Develop and maintain automation software pipelines for high-throughput testing and data visualization.
• Manage software baseline, version control, and configuration management across sites.
• Design secure, scalable data handling and real‑time visualization systems.
