Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on automation experience in Quality Engineering and test automation.
• Proficiency in Java programming and Selenium WebDriver for web app automation.
• Experience with Cucumber and Gherkin-based BDD.
• Knowledge of POM design patterns and automation framework maintenance.
• Familiarity with JUnit or TestNG test frameworks.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle and REST API testing tools like REST Assured.
• Git-based source control and basic branching strategies.
• Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Strong SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC/STLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber.
• Develop automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites for web apps.
• Create and maintain BDD feature files and scenarios using Gherkin/Cucumber.
• Develop reusable automation components, utilities, page objects, and test libraries.
• Execute automated tests, analyze failures, and communicate defects to engineering teams.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA to define test strategies and plans.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and requirement reviews to align testing with business needs.
• Identify candidates for automation and improve automation coverage.
• Perform API testing and validate service integrations using SQL where needed.
• Track defects and perform regression testing to validate fixes.
• Analyze execution results and provide quality metrics and test reports.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using logs and debugging tools.
• Review automation code to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
