Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Technical Automation Program Manager based in Clifton, NJ, hybrid-work model. You will drive the automation pipeline from idea to enterprise deployment, scouting opportunities, building business cases, and leading pilots to scale across the network.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, delivering hardware/software programs, and coordinating with lab operations during go-live windows. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of automation, robotics and hardware engineering experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience delivering products against plan in fast-paced, multi-disciplined environments.
• Experience managing multiple projects with prioritization and critical path management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Ideation & Opportunity Discovery: analyze laboratory workflows to identify bottlenecks for automation value.
• Business Case Development: build financial/operational cases including ROI for executive sponsorship.
• Pilot & Proof of Concept Leadership: design, launch and lead pilots/POCs in labs.
• Enterprise Scaling Strategy: develop and execute roadmaps to scale pilot tech across the network.
• Cross-Discipline Program Delivery: lead hardware software integration with vendors, IT, procurement.
• Schedule & Lifecycle Management: manage complex schedules across Mechanical, Electrical, IT, and Validation.
• Define goals with Operations, Procurement, Reliability to improve performance and reduce cost.
• On-Site Deployment & Go-Live: travel up to 30% for deployment and SAT.
