Job summary

Masimo, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Sr Engineer, Systems Software Automation in Irvine, CA to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for complex distributed systems. This on-site role reports to the Sr Manager, Systems Software Test.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with development to improve testability, and contribute to architecture and coverage across instrument platforms and downstream systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in software development, test automation, or software verification.
• Strong Python programming including object-oriented programming and reusable components.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks or substantial automation infrastructure.
• Experience testing microservice-based software systems in on-prem, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or hybrid deployments.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and support infrastructure for instrument and system-level testing.
• Develop reusable test libraries, device interfaces, protocol libraries, utilities, and common automation components across platforms and downstream system integrations.
• Collaborate with development teams during product design to improve testability, observability, interfaces, and communication protocols.
• Mentor engineers contributing to the automation codebase and establish best practices for software architecture, code quality, maintainability, and reuse.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews and provide technical leadership for test automation initiatives.
