Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an automation engineer to own the config-as-code foundation for its EDA compute farm. You will migrate from partially manual processes, reconciling drift and building end-to-end deployment pipelines across a federated estate.

You will encode scheduler knowledge into templates and policy, enabling expertise to live in the repository and scale across multiple cells with robust observability and rollback capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in infrastructure engineering with strong config management depth — Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, or comparable.
• Real experience with GitOps practice at scale: review workflow, environment promotion, drift detection, and safe rollback.
• Proficiency in Go, Python and shell, and comfort building the tooling rather than only using it.
• Experience automating stateful, long-lived infrastructure where you cannot simply destroy and recreate.

Responsibilities

• Designing and owning the configuration schema for LSF cell deployment.
• Building the deployment pipeline that takes scheduler configuration from merge to production across a federated estate.
• Eliminating configuration drift across cells and building tooling to keep it eliminated.
• Standing up the regression suite to allow upgrades on a schedule.
• Collaborating with LSF internals engineer to encode scheduler knowledge into templates and policy.
