About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The AI/ML Senior Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models that enhance network efficiency. Their duties include:
  • Model Development for Anomaly Detection: Developing and implementing machine learning models to detect anomalies and predict network failures, crucial for large-scale environments. This involves analyzing historical and real-time data to identify patterns.
  • Algorithm Design for Root Cause Analysis: Designing algorithms for automated root cause analysis that identify the most probable causes of network issues. This includes creating systems that can process data from protocols like SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow to pinpoint issues quickly, reducing downtime.
  • Recommendation Systems: Creating intelligent recommendation systems that suggest the top three likely reasons for detected errors and provide step-by-step solutions for resolution.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing AI/ML models for real-time performance and scalability to handle extensive network data, especially important for networks with over 5,000 devices. This involves ensuring models can process large volumes of data without latency.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborating with network architects and engineers to integrate AI/ML solutions into the existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment and operation. This includes working on tools like Cisco DNA Center for enhanced management.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers in AI/ML methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Technology Updates: Staying updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and networking technologies to continually improve system capabilities, ensuring the organization remains operational.
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Cisco devices, Ansible
  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and a Public Trust clearance.

Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
