Overview

Senior Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support control systems for modernisations and new installations in Rolling Mill, Metallurgy, and Process Line equipment. This role involves programming, integration testing, on-site commissioning, and service of automation systems, with a focus on Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell RSLogix5000 platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Level 1 control systems based on project specifications and standards
• Program PLCs and participate in system integration testing
• Commission systems on-site and provide technical training to end users
• Support and service existing automation systems as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Work independently within broadly defined objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of engineering experience in metals or related industries
• Proficiency with PLCs; experience with Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell RSLogix5000 preferred
• Familiarity with rolling mill control systems is a plus
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Willingness to travel for project support

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
