Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

*THIS IS NOT A SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ROLE*

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders, scientists, customers, & commercial teams
• Understand & optimize MolBio processes – Design & enhance automation solutions
• Collect & analyze data from automation platforms to gain insights
• Apply statistical tools & methods to validate process consistency, reproducibility, and robustness
• Act as a liaison between technical teams & non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure that automation solutions are in line with team/organizational objectives
• Support the development of processes from lab to production
• Regularly review automated processes, consider feedback from users, & implement solutions/improvements
• Maintain detailed documentation of gathered requirements, process characterization results, optimization steps, & final optimized processes
• Partner with vendors to ensure solutions meet the necessary requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or similar
• 5+ years of experience in automating MolBio workflows
• Proven experience in requirements gathering
• Strong experience with automation platforms (e.g. Beckman i-Series, Echo acoustic liquid handlers, Tecan Fluent and Hamilton Microlab systems)
• Experience with assay workstations (e.g. Cobots, thermal storage, and thermal cyclers)
• Strong programming & automation software skills
• Proficiency in reading & interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, & technical docs
• Strong background in process characterization & optimization best practices
• Proven technical project management skills
• Familiarity with DoE principles
• Knowledge of QbD & PAT principles
• Familiarity with statistical tools & methods (e.g. JMP)
