A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer for their Montgomery, AL location. The successful candidate will manage and install automation systems, focusing on PLC programming, robotics, and HMI/SCADA configuration. This role involves overseeing the design, troubleshooting, and upgrade projects for control systems. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of experience in the field. Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and automation standards is a must.
Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
5+ years of experience in PLC/HMI control systems design.
Knowledge of OSHA, NEC and NFPA standards.
Responsibilities
Manage and install automation and controls systems design.
Create panel designs, layouts and wiring schematics.
Troubleshoot electrical problems on existing equipment.
Provide programming support for equipment upgrade projects.
Document software defects and troubleshooting tips.
