Job summary

Repligen Corp is seeking an Service Automation Controls Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and improve automation control solutions in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and lab environments. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, industrial networks, and process control platforms across multiple vendors while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop and test control software, review engineering documentation, and support testing and qualification activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 3–5+ years automation experience.
• Experience supporting automation systems in regulated environments is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA configuration and industrial networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks.
• Program and support PLC/SCADA platforms across multiple vendors.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and support HMI/SCADA applications (iFIX, Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
• Diagnose issues in control loops, instrumentation, and LAN networking.
• Review and reverse-engineer control logic and electrical designs for service and upgrades.
• Create test protocols and qualification documents for automated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, ISO, and internal quality requirements.
• Support data acquisition, historians, visualization, and reporting.
• Provide training and technical presentations to Field Service and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers to resolve issues.
