Job summary

Lear Corporation in Montgomery, AL seeks a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer for the 2nd shift (2-11pm). You will design electrical panels, program PLC/HMI, and support integration of automation for manufacturing operations while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves leading change controls, testing, and coordinating with multiple departments to implement improvements. A BS in Engineering plus 5+ years in PLC/HMI projects is required, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

Requires BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 5+ years designing and maintaining PLC/HMI control systems.

Responsibilities

Creates panel designs and layouts, bill of materials, and wiring schematics.
Reads and red-lines electrical schematic drawings.
Provides support of manufacturing operations to all shifts.
Initiates, implements, and tests change controls with corrective actions and investigations.
Coordinates implementation and testing with relevant departments and personnel.
Maintains automation documentation such as functional specifications and SOPs.
