Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design, program, commission, and operate controls and automation systems across our manufacturing footprint.

You will architect PLC systems, build SCADA/HMI applications, and guide integration across MES, ERP, WMS, QMS, PLC, and SCADA layers. This role emphasizes autonomous work on the factory floor, troubleshooting live equipment, improving cycle times, and supporting ramp to high-volume production while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Experience designing and programming PLC systems for manufacturing.
Design SCADA/HMI applications and real-time dashboards.
Integrate controls with MES, ERP, WMS, QMS, PLC and SCADA.
Develop functional safety designs and apply industry standards.

Responsibilities

Design and program PLC architecture across pilot to high-volume production.
Enforce controls standards across hardware, software, and networks.
Design, deploy, and maintain SCADA/HMI for real-time visibility.
Implement automation and robot integration across cells.
Develop safety designs and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Collaborate with Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality teams.
