Job Summary

The Mapleton Foundry is one of the largest in the U.S. and houses the world's largest core making machine. Working here requires focus, safety, quality, and commitment. We seek a Senior Automation Controls Engineer to lead in designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated industrial control systems at the Mapleton Foundry. The role involves setting standards for automation projects, guiding other engineers, and possessing a strong background in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and relevant standards like NEC, MFPA 70E/79, ISO 13849, and IEC 62061.

What You Will Do

• Lead projects deploying automated systems; provide expertise in programming, debugging, and troubleshooting robotic and automated systems using Fanuc and Allen-Bradley equipment.
• Collaborate with support teams for root cause analysis and software improvements; own application/software enhancements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, maintaining standards and documentation for automation systems.
