Job summary

Cardamom is seeking a Senior Automation & Business Process Analyst to lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to map needs, design solutions, and drive adoption of automation within enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of analysis or project leadership experience in healthcare or consulting, strong Power Platform skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Senior Automation & Business Process Analyst

at Cardamom

Hybrid in Madison, WI or Remote (Anywhere in U.S.)

Your Role:

The Senior Automation & Business Process Analyst will work collaboratively with our internal Cardamom teams to lead process improvement and transformation projects end to end — from discovery and requirements gathering through documentation, rollout, and adoption. In this role, you’ll engage directly with stakeholders to assess needs, map current- and future-state processes, and document the SOPs and workflows that make new ways of working stick. Process development and improvement efforts will heavily leverage existing enterprise systems and require comfort with doing basic configuration in these platforms. Your work will span operational, and administrative processes, enhancing efficiency and compliance.

As a Senior Automation & Business Process Analyst at Cardamom, you will:

• Collaborate with both external and internal customers to understand their unique challenges and identify process improvement and automation opportunities
• Work alongside Cardamom’s consultants and internal stakeholders to align on requirements, create actionable project plans, and ensure seamless delivery of process and system changes
• Lead process improvement and transformation projects end to end — from discovery and current-state analysis through design, rollout, adoption, and ongoing refinement
• Select and configure the right workflow and business systems tools for each project
• Enterprise applications (e.g. Microsoft, Dynamics Sales, ServiceNow, Rippling, Dynamics Business Central)
• Automation Tools (e.g. Power Platform, UiPath, PowerShell, Workflow Tools)
• Develop solutions using tools that you are proficient with and leverage other technical resources to fill in gaps
• Design robust ETL processes that will ensure stability and security of key data (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks)
• Provide both technical and operational guidance to clients and internal teams, ensuring projects align with regulatory and compliance standards and best practice policies for process efficiency
• Identify new opportunities for process improvements across customer and internal Cardamom operations
• Mentor junior team members and help drive a knowledge-sharing culture within Cardamom

Our ideal Senior Automation & Business Process Analyst will have:

• Experience: 3-5 years in business analysis, process improvement, or project/program management, ideally in a systems or workflow context, and preferably in customer-facing roles in healthcare or consulting
• Moderate-level configuration experience with workflow and business systems tools; Microsoft Power Platform experience required
• Process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation skills — able to capture current- and future-state processes and produce SOPs others can follow
• Demonstrated project leadership: running projects independently from kickoff through adoption, across multiple departments
• Versatility and comfort with ambiguity: able to work in any area of the business, pick up new technologies and processes quickly, and drive effective change on projects that start loosely defined
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and expand expertise in new tools, staying ahead of industry trends
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and collaboration

Bonus points for experience with the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, healthcare administration or a related field
• Familiarity with Rippling, and other workflow platforms
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above) or hands-on experience applying Lean/Six Sigma methods to process improvement work
• Experience with project management or DevOps best practices
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI technologies
• Industry Knowledge: understanding of healthcare sector, ITIL best practices, regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST), EMR technologies
