Job summary

GLS is seeking a Senior Automation Analyst in South Carolina to drive high-value AI solutions across the organization. You will identify inefficiencies, evaluate AI-driven options, and build tools that deliver measurable results, working with teams across departments.

You will own initiatives from discovery through deployment and value realization, partner with stakeholders to prioritize opportunities, and ensure solutions are secure, well-documented, and readily handed off to business owners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years in Technology Implementation or Business Analytics.
• Experience building AI-enabled prototypes or production workflows.
• Knowledge of process mapping methodologies and enterprise AI ecosystems.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Snowflake is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to map workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Build a prioritized AI initiative pipeline across functions and report to IT leadership.
• Evaluate AI platforms and tools and recommend pilots.
• Own AI initiatives from discovery to deployment and value realization.
• Communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current on AI tooling and workflow patterns to stay competitive.
• Design and build lightweight AI-powered solutions and workflows.
• Ensure documentation and handoff to business owners, aligned with security and governance.
• Train business users on AI tools and workflows.
• Track metrics and maintain a dashboard of outcomes.
• Maintain electronic records and collaborate across management.

What does it mean to be a Senior Automation Analyst at GLS?

The Senior Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying and delivering high-value AI solutions across the organization. This role will identify inefficiencies, evaluate AI-driven solutions, create process improvements, and build tools that deliver measurable results. This is a highly independent position requiring the right judgment to proactively solve problems, use strong technical skills to build the right solution, and effectively communication with teams across the organization.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Senior Automation Analyst?

• Partner with business stakeholders across all departments to understand current workflows, inefficiencies, and manual processes for automation
• Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-value AI opportunities across multiple business functions, regularly updating IT leadership
• Evaluate AI platforms, agent frameworks, workflow automation tools, backend integrations, and traditional process improvements (including but not limited to Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Snowflake Cortex) and recommend where GLS should pilot new technologies
• Own AI initiatives from discovery through deployment, adoption, and value realization
• Communicate trade-offs and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay current on the AI tooling landscape and agentic workflow patterns to keep GLS’s approach informed and competitive
• Independently design and build lightweight AI-powered solutions and workflows
• Ensure solutions are well-documented, maintainable, and handed off properly to business owners for ongoing use, and they align with GLS security, governance, and responsible AI practices
• Train business users on AI tools and workflows; serve as the primary AI enablement resource for non-technical teams
• Track metrics and actual value delivered post-deployment and maintain a dashboard of AI initiative outcomes
• Maintain electronic records and files that support work performed, results, and outcomes
• Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management
• Perform additional assignments and special projects as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management

What should you already know to be successful as a Senior Automation Analyst?

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Technology Implementation, Business Analytics, or related field required
• Demonstrated experience building functional prototypes or production workflows using modern AI tools (e.g., prompt engineering, Claude, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or API scripts)
• Knowledge of process mapping methodologies (As-Is / To-Be process flows, value stream mapping)
• Familiarity with enterprise AI ecosystems (Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or Snowflake Cortex)
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Snowflake highly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
• Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
• Team player that can adapt in a fast paced and changing environment
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
• Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
• Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically

Employment Requirements:

• Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity
• Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday
• Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
• Job functions involve sedentary to light physical effort. Physical demands range from sitting, walking, standing, or pushing or pulling materials. Work may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Schedule:

• This position is full-time
• This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, the days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm.
• Must be flexible to work departmental operating days and times
• Regular, predictable attendance is required, including in excess of 40 hours per week as business demands dictate
• Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
