Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Boyne City, MI to lead development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, driving quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. This role reports to the Sr.

Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and is 100% onsite at the Boyne City, MI site. Responsibilities include leading process design, collaborating with design, quality and production teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, optimization techniques, automation, data acquisition, and smart manufacturing concepts.
• Proficient in programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, and SQL.
• Extensive experience with test systems and data analysis methodologies.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; experience in high/low-volume manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Introduce ideas to assemble small, precision electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to drive technical solutions.
• Work in the manufacturing environment to develop advanced assembly methods to improve flow and efficiency.
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T and specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and standard work with control plans.
