Job summary

Plaza Tire Service, part of Sun Auto Tire & Service, seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency while complying with MAP guidelines and company standards.

You will work on advanced diagnostics, perform heavy repairs, and explain findings to customers and store staff. Eligibility for a State Inspector license within 30 days is required, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Recommends services to keep the customer’s vehicle running; documents in file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and company policies.
