Job summary

Whip, Inc. seeks an experienced Liability Physical Damage (PD) Appraiser to lead auto damage assessments, prepare repair estimates, and support total loss evaluations.

The role requires in-person vehicle inspections, collaboration with repair facilities, and close work with on-site claims teams. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of automotive property damage appraisal experience, including total loss expertise, and be proficient with CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years in automotive property damage appraisal, preferably with third‑party liability claims.
• Hands-on experience with in‑person vehicle inspections and damage assessments.
• Experience conducting total loss evaluations, ACV calculations, salvage considerations, and settlement recommendations.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures, structural damage, labor operations, parts pricing, and estimating standards.
• Proficiency with CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex estimating platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and virtual inspections of damaged vehicles to assess damage and estimate repair costs.
• Prepare, review, and validate detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating platforms.
• Evaluate repair methods, labor rates, parts pricing, and replacement requirements for accuracy.
• Identify unrelated or prior damage and discrepancies in estimates.
• Coordinate with body shops, repair facilities, and appraisers to resolve differences.
