GM Financial is the captive auto finance unit of General Motors, offering retail and commercial financing through dealer networks in North America. The Sr.

Credit Analyst I evaluates credit applications, assesses risk, and supports portfolio growth with sound credit decisions. You will analyze financial data, make credit approvals or denials within authority, build dealer relationships, and ensure profitability while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of consumer finance and banking environment.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of indirect retail auto financing.
• Knowledge of sales, credit, and funding processes in consumer finance.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit data to determine risk involved in extending credit.
• Make decisions to approve or deny the extension of credit within authority and laws.
• Develop dealer relationships to ensure volume objectives and credit quality.
• Capture auto finance contracts meeting profitability criteria for pricing and performance.
• Ensure branch cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure all queues are worked to acceptable service levels.
• Conduct joint dealer calls with Dealer Relationship Manager as needed.
• Perform outbound telemarketing calls to dealer customers.
• Establish and track monthly goals for assigned dealers.
• Ensure proper documentation is received on all deals.
