Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is seeking an Authorizing Official to provide cybersecurity support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This role involves awarding Authorization to Operate (ATO) for systems and networks based on acceptable risk determinations.

You will manage accreditation packages, set acceptable limits, and review documentation to ensure risk remains within approved levels for each software, system, and network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 3 years of full-time professional experience in establishing, implementing, and tracking project plans.
• Knowledge of RMF and assessment/authorization processes.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and methods (firewalls, encryption).
• Ability to coordinate cyber operations with other functions.

Responsibilities

• Review accreditation packages and establish acceptable risk levels for software, networks, and systems.
• Approve accreditation packages (e.g., ISO/IEC 15026-2).
• Review authorization/assurance documents to confirm risk is acceptable for each software, system, and network.
• Coordinate cyber operations with other organizational functions.
