The anticipated salary range for this role is between $145,000.00 and $185,000.00. The specific salary offered will be based on individual qualifications and experiences. SMBC is seeking an experienced IT Application Audit professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the banking and finance/technology industry to conduct audit coverage for the firm's IT applications. The Audit professional will be responsible for conducting regular IT application audits and supporting the IT Application Team Head in executing their duties. This includes identifying areas of coverage for planning and continuous monitoring activities covering IT application and technology-related risks.

Role Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular audits of IT application areas, assessing adherence to firm and regulatory requirements.
2. Create audit issues and reports that clearly articulate results and conclusions.
3. Challenge the ongoing coverage of IT application work and present ideas for improvement.
4. Facilitate risk issue tracking to promote timely remediation.
5. Perform issue assurance work for audit, regulatory, and self-identified issues.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues and auditees to identify risk concerns.
7. Forge strong partnerships with colleagues in other IT application and control functions.
8. Oversee quarterly and annual continuous monitoring / risk assessment processes.
9. Assist with special projects related to business process improvements.
10. Conduct regular Continuous Monitoring activities and auditable entity updates.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of IT Application/Infrastructure/Cybersecurity audit experience.
• Knowledge of IT application related risks and controls.
• Knowledge of industry relevant standards and regulatory expectations.
• Knowledge of audit techniques and workpaper standards.
• Strong strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to act as trusted advisor to IT application management.
• Excellent communication and professional skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
