Job summary

THR Partners in Beachwood, OH, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor for a hybrid, full-time role. You will perform complex audit and assurance tasks under experienced guidance to strengthen client systems and operations.

You will lead and execute diverse assignments, mentor staff, prepare workpapers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP or OCBOA, plan engagements, and recommend improvements to internal controls. Strong communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• 3-4 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including CCH Engagement, Creative Solutions Fixed Assets, PPC Checkpoint Tools, and QuickBooks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute diverse accounting and auditing assignments with minimal supervision.
• Guide and mentor staff accountants, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards.
• Prepare comprehensive workpapers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP or OCBOA.
• Actively participate in the planning and scheduling of client engagements, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Provide insightful recommendations for improving client internal controls and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients to facilitate seamless and minimally disruptive engagements.
