Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Auditor to join the Dynamic Audit Resourcing Team (DART). You will lead audits, develop planning documents, and design procedures to test internal controls while communicating progress to clients and team members.

You will mentor junior staff, leverage data analytics, and contribute to a high-quality, proactive assurance program across multiple audit domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of auditing experience.
• 1+ years leading audits and acting as auditor-in-charge.
• 2+ years in banking or financial services.
• 1+ years data analysis using analytical tools (Tableau, SQL, Python).
• 1+ years information systems auditing including IT general controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead small audits or own significant components of larger audits.
• Develop engagement planning docs to justify scoping decisions and audit coverage.
• Design and execute audit procedures to verify internal controls; document processes and evidence.
• Prepare clear documentation including draft findings.
• Maintain client and team relations; communicate audit progress to stakeholders.
• Coach and provide feedback to audit staff and new hires.
