  • Perform routine engagement procedures in a timely and professional manner including cash, payables, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparation of the financial statements
  • Meet engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks on time
  • Understand and anticipate client’s needs
  • Effectively communicate all aspects of work performed and complete analysis and feedback upon completion
  • Attend trainings and webinars to remain current with accounting standards and industry trends
  • Build new and enhance existing client relationships
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA license
  • 1-4 years of public accounting audit experience (candidates at the supervisory level will possess the ability to manage, develop, train and mentor staff)
  • Drive to succeed with a positive attitude, sound judgment and adaptive to change
  • Solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles with the ability to perform or review routine and complex engagement procedures
  • Excellence in communication, organization, analysis, client service and technology including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency
  • Ability to effectively juggle priorities, interact professionally with clients and all levels of staff and work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ensures that tax returns and tax planning recommendations are prepared in accordance with professional and firm standards

  • Demonstrates ability to recognize problems and propose solutions, while considering the clients’ needs and the firm’s risk
  • Works collaboratively with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships
  • Identifies, resolves, and makes recommendations on potential tax and accounting issues
  • Balance multiple tasks on engagements, including staff training, and client management
  • Research technical issues and utilizes tax software
  • Collaboratively working with client team members to build rapport and strong client relationships
Qualifications:
  • Education – Fulfillment of the 150-hour CPA certification requirement
  • Knowledge – Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills, QuickBooks knowledge and familiarity
  • Skills – Judgment, accountability, planning, goal setting/accomplishment, excellent people skills to interact with clients and firm members, outstanding communication skills, initiative, positive attitude, team oriented, efficient, and proficient in Word, Excel and online research
  • Experience – Prior work experience is required
  • Exams – In pursuit of or obtained CPA licensure

Travel: Very little, if any, out of town travel
