Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; must meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
• CPA certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA will be considered.
• 1–3 years of accounting-related experience.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work on multiple tasks.
• Adaptable to various levels of client complexities (people, processes, systems).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.
• Participate in pre-audit planning to assess risk of material misstatement and design audit procedures.
• Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to resolve them.
• Test internal controls, policies, and procedures; make recommendations.
• Audit under GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA standards, and SOX.
• Build relationships and communicate proactively with clients and colleagues.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.
