Job summary

A leading healthcare firm in Bohemia, NY, is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor / Accountant. The role involves serving as in-charge Auditor for various engagements, managing junior staff, and preparing financial statements. Ideal candidates will have a college degree in Accounting, 3+ years of audit experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with ProSystem fx Engagement and a CPA are preferred. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of audit experience in public accounting, preferably with non-profit, school, or employee benefit plan clients.
• Applied working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS; GAGAS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the in-charge Auditor for diverse engagements.
• Manage junior staff members on engagements.
• Complete internal controls documentation, risk assessment, and perform substantive external audit procedures.
• Prepare financial statements and management letters for engagements.
