Major Duties:
- Lead at least one audit at a time.
- Conduct and document complex and high-risk audits across the Corporation.
- Maintain professional skepticism and question processes to facilitate improvements.
- Finalize planning documents.
- Perform first-level review of planning documents.
- Apply analytical skills to review information, assess audit results, and evaluate controls.
- Collaborate with the Audit engagement Senior Auditor II or Team Leader/Manager I or II to develop audit objectives.
- Assist in developing the audit budget and timeline based on objectives and risk assessment.
- Review work papers of audit team members to ensure departmental standards are met.
- Communicate audit status to business units and Audit Services management.
- Draft findings and recommendations for status updates, memos, and reports.
- Coordinate with other audit teams to ensure timely evaluations of related areas.
- Provide training, coaching, and expertise to the audit team.
- Operate independently with in-depth knowledge of the business unit/function.
Knowledge:- Understanding of audit procedures and standards, typically gained through work experience and a four-year degree.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Internal Audit Charter, Policy, and Methodology.
- Familiarity with corporate policies, procedures, and auditing standards.
- Knowledge of operations, functions, and objectives of interfacing areas.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
Experience:- A college or university degree and/or entry-level auditing experience in a financial institution is preferred.
