Job summary

Experis is partnering with a nonprofit in Washington, DC to hire a Senior Staff Audit Support Specialist. The role offers a hybrid arrangement, three days onsite per week, with a pay rate of $28-$30 per hour.

You will assist with planning, execution, communication, and reporting of internal audit activities across the organization. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5–7 years of related experience; professional certifications (CPA/CIA/CFE) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant certifications are required or preferred.
• 5–7 years of directly related audit or assurance experience.
• CPA/CIA/CFE certifications are preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency with ACL, MS Office, Visio and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform compliance, financial, and operational audits per IIA standards.
• Assist with planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit activities.
• Document audit procedures, findings and recommendations clearly.
• Communicate audit results to auditees and management.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and support for junior staff.
• Support investigations and special projects as needed.
